We're all about balance here at the Metro Lifestyle desk.It turns out Weetabix makes a Ombay' Hugo Boss Jackets Lightweight Outdoor Jacket with Check Pattern Black cheaper own-brand version for Asda and TescoEnjoying everything in moderation is what makes life worth living, and we're totally down with anything that Swimwear ticks both our Hygge and healthspo boxes. But we're still more than a little unsure about the concept of 'green juice' gummy bears. The bears are made from spinach, apple, lemon, ginger concentrate, spirulina and turmeric - yet they still manage to taste like sweets.
It's witchcraft, surely. The idea was born after an April Fool's day prank in 2016 from Sugarfina, a luxury candy brand, was a surprising hit online. You can't ignore customer feedback like that.Sugarfina realised creating a 'green juice' gummy wasn't exactly their area of expertise, so set up a collaboration with juicing company, Pressed Juicery to create the sweet treat. In an interview with Delish, CEO of Pressed Juicery said of the partnership, 'We're serious about what we do, but we don't take ourselves too seriously'.We think gummy bears are a very serious business, thank you very much, and this on-trend addition to a beloved favourite is a step too far.Though we can see that calling it a 'cleanse' is clearly all in good fun (and a bit of smart marketing).
From 26 April, three sizes of the green juice gummy bears are available from the Sugarfina website, with individual prices ranging from 3 to 14 (U.S).There's also an option for a 7 day 'cleanse' for 26 (U.S) which the site explains as:'Get your daily dose of our &'green juice&' gummy bears with our 7-day gummy bear cleanse pack, filled with 7 of our Baby Bear shots. Made with apple, lemon, ginger, and Lauren Ralph Lauren black/black Maxi dress greens, these all-natural bears are fat-free, non-GMO, and contain 20% of your daily Vitamins C & A. The perfect gift for your fab and fit friends.'The product is currently only available in the U.S, but surely only a matter of time until they reach our shores.
